What a Life, What a Year!
If you had told me a few years ago everything that would unfold to bring me to this exact moment, I’m not sure I would have believed you. But here we are—and I couldn't be more grateful.
This November brings two major milestones that mean the world to me: stepping into my 44th year and officially launching my memoir, The Year My Head Exploded.
Because these two events are so deeply entwined, I’m combining forces for one warm, intimate, and very special evening. I would love nothing more than to celebrate both of these chapters with you.
The Celebration
We’ll be gathering at Octopus Books in the Glebe. Surrounded by book-lined shelves, we’ll spend two cozy hours catching up, sharing stories, and marking the start of this next chapter together.
Here is what’s in store for the evening:
A Cozy Reading & Q&A: I’ll be sharing a short passage from The Year My Head Exploded and chatting briefly about the journey of putting this story onto the page.
A Celebratory Toast & Treats: We’ll have a spread of fruit and charcuterie to graze on, plus a legendary Lemon Coconut Cake from Dessert First to properly celebrate turning 44.
Book Signing: The store will have copies of the book ready, and I’d be honored to “sign” one for you to take home.

Where: Octopus Books, Ottawa (116 Third Ave, in the Glebe)
The Vibe: Casual, cozy, and celebratory.
Gifts: Your presence is truly the only gift I need (though if you’re inclined, taking home a copy and/or sharing the book with a friend is always appreciated!).
